This Policy explains what personal data Kariba collects, why, and your rights over it. It applies to travellers and rental-company users of the Kariba platform.

1. Data we collect

Account data: your name, email, phone number and preferred language.

Booking data: the vehicles, dates and amounts of your bookings, and messages exchanged with a rental company.

Payment data: handled by our payment processor (Fygaro). Kariba does not store full card numbers.

Technical data: basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use your data

To create and manage your account, process bookings and payments, send transactional notifications by email and WhatsApp, provide support, and keep the platform secure and compliant.

3. Sharing

When you book, the relevant rental company receives the details it needs to fulfil your rental (e.g. your name, contact and booking dates). We also use trusted processors for payments (Fygaro), email (Resend), messaging (WaSender) and hosting (Supabase).

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, accounting and dispute-resolution purposes, then delete or anonymise it.

5. Your rights

Subject to local law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
